Melissa hosts The Bag System - Dissociative Identity Disorder podcast. She aims to demonstrate that what was once known as Multiple personalities is not all a tragedy and there can be a fondness for Headmates. She was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder at the end of 2019 and now strives to change the stigma that equates alternate identities with psychopathy, or paints it in a light of tragedy or fascination. She is the founder and president of Multiplied By One Org, a nonprofit organization for trauma and dissociative disorders.
She is a writer, advocate, and podcaster, and has appeared in documentary series, such as "Employable Me," and "You Can't Ask That."
